at first i took the uir as my cds i totally do not know what is it about
but after looking through the title : using internet as a research tool
i realised it is using internet to find information from the web
it is very interesting during my first lab
my facilitator who is Ms faridah
she is sweet and love to joke with us at times >.<
she bought a lot of fun and laughter to us =p
when she taught us about some topics
she explained very clearly and if i have any doubt i will not hestiate to ask her
because she did not have a fierce look which is good
so that when students have problems with the work can ask her without worrying so much whether will she scold.
having this cds is fun and enjoyable
if i ever i had a chance to take it another time i will not regret because this class has many unforgetable memories that makes the cds fun
this cds teaches how to use different types of search engines
what are the relevant keywords to type so that we can find the information fast and relevant
what are some of the websites may be useful to us
learn to reflect on some websites and give comments to it
learn APA style
learn what are the impacts from my discussion topic
learn to create a forum to talk about my topic
from the forum we can learn from others and give our personal's view towards the topic
so that we can have a wide-range of knowledge
this cds will help me in the future in the industry
if i need to do research on topic
we do compare websites so that we will know which website is the better one
and what are the advantages and disadvantages
what are the characteristic
wiki is a good way to communicate with facilitator by submitting our work up
easy to edit and will keep track of our updates
facilitator will know how many words we update and how often we updated our wiki =]
we do have online homework on the discussion board
this is another good way to hand up our homework online and we can post a reply
we can give comments to others as well
this enhances and pull a better communication with people
it teaches us how to handle people to people relationship
when we give comments people learned from there
i had learned how to use the boolean operators as well (E.g. OR, NOT and AND)
What are the differences and the use of the operators
it is very useful!! =D
We learned the limitations of different search engines
When it display the results we look at how many results the gave and the time for searching, scope of information and the results ranking among the 3 search facilities
the most important i had learned is the different types of search facilities
it gave me more space to search for relevant information and taught us the use of keywords and boolean operators =)
